R.A.D® is a performance footwear company founded by athletes and designers. The brand merges innovation and creativity to capture the euphoria of sport deeply rooted in its subculture and community.
For this project, I developed and updated the t-shirt offering under the lifestyle part of the brand which focussed on resolving issues with the fit and the grade as well as making sure this information was communicated clearly on our website.
Type of product : Crop tees, Long sleeved tees, Short sleeved tees.
Deliverables
Fabric management : I sourced some new materials at different weights including 250gsm and 190gsm cotton, so we were able to offer a heavyweight and lightweight t-shirt for different seasons.
Competitor analysis : I visited a couple of different competitors and reviewed their offering and RRP as well as looking at their grade rules so we were able to benchmark ourselves correctly.
Fit review: I reviewed the previous t-shirt styles on the website and identified issues with the grade where compared to competitors we were coming up quite small as well as dragging around the armhole.
Sample development : We had alot of protos for this project to ensure the fit was correct across all sizes as well as different weights and to make sure they had been garment dyed as this can affect shrinkage.
Greige management : Once samples had been signed off, we worked with supplier to prebook greige based on different fabric quantities to ensure we had freedom to print/dye less quantities so it was more of a frequent drop scenario.
